The Isotherm 2017 Compact Classic is a complete DC refrigeration system for converting a larger ice box into a real refrigerator or freezer. It pairs a fan-cooled 12/24V Danfoss compressor unit with a long flat plate evaporator, so it suits roomy top-loading or front-opening boxes where a smaller "O" style evaporator would struggle. Use it as a fridge on boxes up to about 9.2 cu. ft., or as a freezer on well-insulated boxes up to about 3.1 cu. ft.

Installation tips
- Give the compressor unit a ventilated spot with cool air coming in low and warm air leaving high. Stay out of engine rooms and sealed lockers.
- Insulation makes or breaks performance on a box this size. Plan on at least 2" of foam for a fridge and 4" or more for a freezer.
- Run properly sized wire from the battery and plan for a battery bank that can handle a fridge running around the clock.
